It’s again a good news for Gamer’s. The popular microprocessor manufacturer AMD brought out an upgraded Graphic card into our ways. The recent model of AMD is the Radeon HD 6970 which was a single GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) speed champ, available at a price of $350 (Rs.15700) and the current release is the new Radeon HD 6990 which is available at a price of $699 (Rs.31,500). The new Radeon HD 6990 comes with dual GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), each GPU has 1980 processors and totally the chip has 3970 stream processors which enables HD Graphics.
The chip includes 2 DVI ports, 4 mini display port connectors, and 2 HDMI ports and even includes CrossFire support, accompanied by 4GB of GDDR5 memory. While coming to the Bandwidth, it’s mentioned as 422.2 GB/s.
On the other side NVIDIA may release another chip against this. Let’s see how NVIDIA is going to respond…
